With over 40 years of
playing and more than 30 years teaching experience, from orchestral, band,
small ensembles to solo work, Ian is also in demand as a teacher of brass
instruments and music theory.
Although
a busy professional tutor, Ian has a few vacancies for regular private tuition in the Bedfordshire and Milton Keynes areas. Lessons are usually
taken in your own home so you have no need to travel. Ian also provides 'one-off' consultations to prepare for exams, concerts or recitals - ask for details.
Your
first lessons is free, and reductions are available for group
lessons. Further reductions are available by purchasing 'tuition vouchers'. So, if you are a beginner or have some experience it doesn't
matter. Maybe you used to play but your instrument is now gathering
dust in the loft send an email to discuss your next step.
Ian has
experience of teaching all of the brass family, so if you wish to
learn any of the brass family (eg trumpet, cornet, french horn,
trombone) or music thory, just send an email including some details of any previous
playing, musical experience (if any), your ambitions (eg ABRSM or Trinity exams) and you will be on
your way.
Ian has experience of tutoring pupils of all ages and holds an Enhanced Disclosure Certificate from the CRB to work with Children and Vunerable Adults.
LESSON LENGTHS ARE FLEXIBLE, HOWEVER THE CURRENT (October 2008) STANDARD TERMS ARE £17.50 PER 30 MINS LESSON; £22.50 PER 45 MINS LESSON; £27.50 PER HOUR LESSON. REDUCTIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOR VOUCHERS AND GROUP TUITION.
